Swift-Tuttle comet and Kiuchi to meet in approximately 4,205,300,000 km.

The calculator Kiuchi loves.

"This book is my teacher."
April 1978 Kiuchi buys a calculator and begins calculating orbits.

"With a computer, you can immediately get the correct answer. How boring! With a calculator, I can do small-lot calculations as part of my space travels. I understand the process. I can be in the center of the sun, back on earth, or looking from a comet. There is room for imagination. It was so enjoyable. My love for figures grew from those space travels using the calculator. People of long ago obviously had a good time."
