Greetings from Sensorium's AnnounceMail:

KNOW "Dialogue in the Dark"?

An experimental project that deeply sympathizes with Sensorium's theme of recomposing the "ways we sense the world" was launched recently in Japan.

The experiment--called "Reimei" (Dawn), originally performed in Europe under the name "Dialogue in the Dark"--takes place in a pitch black room, where one hears various sounds, touches plants, drinks alcohol...has a non-visual experience.
Moreover, those who guide us through the room are visually handicapped.
Experiencing the world of the blind through this para-experience makes one realize the extent to which our sensory circuits are shut down in normal daily living.
A remarkable piece of senseware!

The human body replaces 200 to 300 billion cells every day--a rate of about 200 million cells per minute!
(Incidentally, an adult is comprised of approximately 60 trillion cells.)
Indeed, without having done a thing,
"you are not the same person you were yesterday!":-)
