In our project, we apply some of the rules of renga. Overall, there are seven different poems, each based on a different motif, and accompanied by photographs. (The seven motifs are: word, earth, air, water, body, time and plant.) The opening verse of the poems makes reference, either by a direct quotation or allusion, to some text, be it a literary work or even advertising copy. Each poem is written by a designated poet and is linked in some way to the previous one and also hints at the direction the following might take.
